"If I disappear, who cares?"
I care, Riz. I care. Sound of Metal is a brutal look at a person's journey through a truly life changing event.
Equally devastating and life-affirming in equal measure, this is a tremendous character study. Also a real win for on-screen representation, featuring deaf actors who all hold their own with the seasoned professionals. I went into this knowing close to nothing and having only seen the poster. I recommend that approach, as it enhanced my experience.
Riz Ahmed gives one of the best performances of the year and Sound of Metal is a tremendous experience.
