My first film in over a week and this is what I choose. Having just read the novella, I was curious to see how this compressed story looked over the course of a 3-hour mini-series. It's basically an aeronautical version of The Mist by way of The Twilight Zone, with Cousin Balki coming in hard as the direct-to-video Patrick Bateman. Now THAT is what I'm talking about. An energetic, goofy and unapologetic tribute to itself. Pretending the last 15 years didn't happen, Diesel moulds his fast and furious friends into another action franchise. The addition of Donnie Yen was a master stroke. Collette doesn't encounter a scene she doesn't find delicious. So much fun. Read my full review here.
