Not as terrible as I remember it, although it does look as though it was made at least 10 years earlier than the late 90s. You've also got to hand it to the film for managing to slip in as many basketball puns for Shaq as humanly possible. Bonus points for a battle-ready wheelchair.

This September 1980 TV special is just as much a potted history of special effects as it is a look behind the scenes of Empire Strikes Back. Of course, Mark Hamill hosting makes this a must-watch piece of Star Wars history, and there are some cool insights into the production process.

Prey 2022
The first Predator film in quite some time that caught my attention and held me there for the most part. Yes, it covers some familiar ground, but Amber Midthunder is a fully-formed action superhero. There was also a moment when I realised how refreshingly absent of heavy gunplay this film was.

Hot Gimmick: Girl Meets Boy 2019
I'm still not sure if this was an indictment of toxic masculinity or an exemplar of its prevalence, but man - those camera angles and edits. It's definitely one of the more stylish manga adaptations of recent memory, but it's seriously weird, man. And I say that while watching the first episode of the 1990 musical cop drama series Cop Rock.
