This is definitely a contender for the best film I’ve seen this year. The acting, cinematography and writing all came together very well. Casting is a cherry on top of it all. It’s a good slow burn mental piece. I saw someone compare it to The Shining in that regard and I might be inclined to say that’s an apt comparison.
There is a lot of great overt symbolism to entertain you without holding your hand through all the undertones allowing you to go your own way on interpretation of the film.
So many memorable moments. I hope to see the makers and/or actors receive some recognition at the oscars.
I can’t remember the last time I bought a DVD it this will be one along with Midsommar that I look forward to purchasing in order to rewatch.
