The comedy was a bit basic and sometimes off-putting with the more heavy emotionally stuff in the movie. Wish they had gone more into the backstory of how everything came to be. But it was overall an enjoyable film. Probably wouldn't watch it again though.
This really felt like a filler movie just so they had something to release. The deaths are great but Laurie and Michael seem to take a backseat in this. Which would have been fine if the townsfolk were engaging. But they seem too shallow so their anger never lands.
Flashback scenes can add depth but not in this unfortunately. It just feel lazy because you never get to connect with the characters. Halloween is at its best when it is…
This got slammed by critics and went to DVD release immediately but I say that was a bit harsh.
I really enjoyed this action thriller featuring a firefighter protected witness.
With that premise, this could have gone done the very cheesy route of using his firefighter skills to outsmart the villains but apart from a few things, he just an average guy who is put in an impossible situation.
Though I have a weakness for anything with Vincent D'Onofrio, so maybe take with a pinch of salt!
