Emma. ★★★½

As far as (non-Clueless) adaptations go, this has some of the best casting of any I've seen, and it's quite the deconstruction for the first half, but that gets fallen by the wayside unfortunately. Despite that, I still remained pretty invested in the end (you really feel the gravity of a certain situation with Miss Bates), and Autumn de Wilde shows a lot of visual panache that ultimately defines the film; I'm very interested to see where she goes as a filmmaker.
I should note this included exactly one more shit joke than I was expecting.
