    Jojo Rabbit

Taika perfectly uses humor to make these situations satirized.

Overall definitely a hilarious time full of great writing and laughs.

The relationships between Jojo and Elsa were great development as well as the fun one with him and Adolf.

Also any scene with his friend Yorki was hilarious.

    You're Next

    Exhilarating and intense throughout.

  • Wind River

    Wind River

A solid film which takes a true crime situation to work as a showing a metaphor for a lot of natives works well here.
The shots are framed well and the thrill of it works. M
Also great performances from Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen.

    Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

    Some good lonely island fun.

  • Bombshell

Theron, Robbie, Kidman, and MKinon, and Lithgow all brought their A-games here. great performances representing a not-so-great situation.

The film was great, and well done but gave very unsettling and disheartening moments when you had to see what these women went through. It's sad that women are still going through what they go through today. But this perfectly shows women fighting back as they should.

This story, which had to be told, was perfectly told here. What happened should have…

  • Slow West

    Slow West

I’d say it’s called Slow West for a reason.
Nothing super exciting until the final act which is action packed and thrilling.
It has feels of Wes Anderson and Coen Brothers.
    Fun but not top notch.

  • Saving Mr. Banks

    Saving Mr. Banks

Two Tom Hanks biopics in one weekend? Why not.

  • A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

The editing and switch between aspect ratios was perfect to me and felt like pristine transitions between scene types.
This way of telling Lloyd and Jerry’s story as well as Mr. Roger’s story intertwined basically felt like an episode of Mister Rogers for adults.
The way it opened and closed was perfect.

  • The Invitation

    The Invitation

Yeah I’m not going to any dinner parties for a while.

  • Free Fire

    Free Fire

So here we have 30 minutes of quality followed by an hour of shootout and gags.
A quality cast, but not the best quality overall.

  • The Spectacular Now

    The Spectacular Now

    Overall shocked by this one.
Great performances all around by Teller, Woodley, and Larsen.
It’s also crazy that this was before Teller and Woodley really started working together in the Divergent films because they had such great chemistry.

A few emotional and shocking moments. I may have teared up at.

Kyle Chandler played the jerk dad perfectly.
But seeing this story of living in the now and choosing which decisions were right was perfectly shown through Teller’s role.
I’ll definitely say he’s growing on me the more I see him in roles.

  • Villains

    Well that was pretty bonkers.
