BlacKkKlansman

BlacKkKlansman ★★★★

Spike Lee makes no apologies for his stance of our current political climate, and for better or worse he uses his new film to express that frustration.  Lee is in top form here getting great performances all around with Adam Driver being the stand out for me, juxtaposing the horrors of our past and its relevance to where we are and where we’re headed. This is a film that is angry, funny, thought provoking, audacious, suspenseful and relevant.  I do question some of the choices that Spike makes, specifically towards the end of the film, but I understand what he was going for. It’s an uncomfortable watch at times but a necessary watch. ALL POWER TO ALL THE PEOPLE ✊🏾
