Jimmy Jones’s review published on Letterboxd:
Throw stones at me, but this film by Kieslowski just seemed surfacey and tension-less to me. I really wanted to get sucked into the artsy plot and find deeper meaning, but instead I was confused about which Veronique was which (probably the point) and kept waiting for something significant to actually happen in their lives. The plot seemed lacking in anything of real value or meaning for me. That being said, the visual style is absolutely gorgeous and artistic beyond belief, and Irene Jacob gives a very strong performance.
