Jordan Garren’s review published on Letterboxd:
When an undead epidemic sweeps through parts of England, slackers Shaun (Simon Pegg) and Ed (Nick Frost) bumble their way through the legions of flesh-eating zombies to rescue Shaun's (ex)girlfriend and mum, then lay low at their favorite pub (The Winchester!), and have a pint until it all blows over!
Often funny with some great gory bits, SHAUN OF THE DEAD is also an emotional rollercoaster that pumps the breaks often enough for Shaun to experience emotional growth and come to terms with A LOT over the course of a day. (e.g. dealing with the death of a parent, standing up to your friends, and taking charge of your life) Edgar Wright's "zombedy" has aged fairly well and easily gets a recommendation from yours truly.
