Jake Kaufman’s review published on Letterboxd :
Strong start, but doesn't stick the landing. It's pretty obvious that this film has some substantial post-production reshooting/editing done to it. I don't understand why they connected this so directly to the first movie, because the second film isn't. The second film works better because of that I believe.
The film mostly wastes a wonderful cast on pointless plot threads and stuff that goes nowhere. No one gets any scenes or dialogue to chew on. It's a shame because this film has a really fantastic cast.
This had the potential to be some sort of modern take on Event Horizon or some sort of Cronenberg in space. Instead it's a meddling film that is only worth watching because it is free.
