One of those movies that doesn’t do anything super unique or reinvent the wheel but still tells a beautiful, emotional, and exciting story

A great mix of the horror and high school drama genres, with really good leads and well done scares, blood, and gore. The dialogue is very hit or miss, main complaint. Gave me a big laugh one scene and did a double take the next

The talented cast (Mary Elizabeth winstead is a stands out), amazing action and stunts, and loads of visual style and charm help overcome the hit or miss humor (the physical humor is aces, the fourth wall breaking isn’t), the weirdly structure story, and the kind of underwhelming villains

someone must really hate billy bob Thornton cause that man consistently has absolutely terrible hair in so many roles I've seen him in.
