This movie is one of the most clever comedies I have ever seen. The cast is fantastic. (And yes, there are elements of horror in the last 1/3). The symbols that represent the themes in the plot provide an excellent meta-allegory on capitalism.
The stone. The location of capitalism in the tragedy of the story. The knife. The alienation of the proletariat (and it’s direction). The stairs. The direction of privilege. The food and water. The expression of class.
Probably the best film I have seen so far in 2020.
