  • Christopher Robin

    Christopher Robin

damn, christopher robin really said labor is entitled to all it creates

  • The Irishman

    The Irishman

Not so sure about casting Anna Paquin as Peggy. Why does Hollywood refuse to hire mute actors to portray mute characters?

  • Parasite

No one in this movie understands stairs.

  • Harlot

Mario Montez reclines on the couch, leaning gently on Carol Koshinskie. Mario gently extends her arm, embracing the cat. She nibbles on its ear, as the cat writhes in distress. Upon closer inspection, the cat has been a banana this entire time. A slight grin crosses Mario's face as she eats the banana, one bite after another. Carol locks eyes with the camera, expressionless as she slides off the couch and inches away from the banana carnage.

    Mario lies all…

  • Empire

I just finished through watching ("watching") all of Empire in one sitting. Selected notes:

1m It's really overexposed. I can see the outline of the Empire State Building and the peaks of a few other towers are faintly visible. Otherwise it's hard to make anything out.

18m Much easier to make out the building now. I can see all the setbacks going up it. They're shooting from an odd angle that makes the right side of the building look like…

  • The Nude Vampire

    The Nude Vampire

A moody, atmospheric dream in which a young man tries to unravel the mysteries of a vampire woman, a secret society, and how Lemaître ended up in this movie.

  • My Brother's Shoes

    My Brother's Shoes

Maybe don't write two parallel rape scenes into a wacky comedy if you're not sure where you're going with all this, because wow.

  • Climax

  • A Single Man

    A Single Man

turning a big dial taht says "Saturation" on it and constantly looking back at the audience for approval like a contestant on the price is right

  • Short Fuse

    Short Fuse

Show me some ACT UP footage set to anything off of Now That's What I Call Disco and I will start crying in the theatre, marvel at your immense artistic talent, and give your movie no fewer than three stars. I'm not proud of it, but I also wasn't expecting Warren Sonbert to be the one leveraging that.

  • Outer Space

    Outer Space

This is one of my favorites. I sure as hell wasn't expecting to finally see it on the big screen as a last-minute addition to an open screening, but I'll take it.
