More tedious than you'd expect for a film about queers who like piss.

At some point, multiple people were presented with the idea of showing a midsummer night where Touko Laaksonen gives bland reassurances that his love interest isn't a ruined man while his sister rolls around in the tall grass. They came to the conclusion that this would help people understand Tom of Finland.

If you're going to give an Imitation Game treatment to Tom, rethink why you're making the film in the first place.

That's a nice ensemble cast you've got there. It'd be a shame if we had to pause repeatedly so they could be talked over by a complete cipher.
