i don’t even know where to start... this was my most anticipated release of the year and it didn’t let me down! truely unsettling, disturbing and horrifying but so beautiful. the cinematography and score added so much to this film. ari aster’s directing was not a let down. personally i liked it better than hereditary. not to say hereditary was bad as it’s also a five star movie in my eyes but i feel like the plot of midsommar had better pacing, it was more clear with what it was doing and i felt more connected to it. i reeled for dani as a character. florence pugh did amazing and i hope she gets nominations for this role. highly recommend this one!!!
