Spike delivers a walkthrough in the black man’s complicated and unappreciated history of being a soldier for the USA.  Giving snippets of doc footage, and lessons of greed and corruption, Spike is deliberately giving the audience lesson hidden in a narrative. 

The cast is excellent, especially Delroy Lindo in a career performance.  Spike really gave these guys the roles of their careers. Jonathan Majors is good to see here as well.  Some good action and some great drama. Really great cinematography from Newton Thomas Sigel.
