It's more of the same really, and that's perfectly OK. There's baddies, and the big lug shows up near the end to smash them good.
This time some kids are the central human part of the film giving it a Gamera vibe, only more violent.
Jungle Cruise is a lot of fun, a decent way to spend a couple hours without having to do too much thinking.
The action scenes do suffer from the usual problem where it's hard to tell what's going on at points, but other than that it's a good laugh and Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt have excellent chemistry together.
Oh sweet, looks like I'm gonna be the only guy on Letterboxd not TERRIFIED of this film. Honestly, it's like reading an IMDB message board...
It's not the most original but it's fun, has a likable cast, and if someone in the target audience sees it and loves it...maybe it can be their Craft?
