this ain't it chief
i didn't think this could get any better, but I loved this even more on a repeat viewing. this is such a beautiful film, and an instant favorite of mine. the ending is so tender, real and doesn't cheat you emotionally. the dardennes present you with a realistic situation, a character, who struggles throughout the duration of the film with mental illness under the pressure of a emotionally taxing situation, finally facing her fate; and having not only the strength to confront it, but contest that adversity; and then walk away from it, with a smile, thinking about the path ahead. truly inspiring.
