Film Club - film no. 21 (catching up) | Film Club Ranked

City of God is a great film. Eventhough I've watched it two and a half years ago, I didn't remember everything what happened in this flick. Film Club gave me another reason to rewatch this.

It's an extremely well-made movie, all the technical aspects that are needed are there. The editing and transitions are great, the film/cinematography looks gorgeous in every frame, although there could've been less shaky cam.

All the actors do a great job. Zé was such a great villian, maybe the best villian in Film Club picks I can think of.

City of God is one of my favorite Film Club picks so far, but not my personal favorite. I still put One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Repo Man above this great flick.

This is why I am going to give City of God (2002) 5 out of 5 stars.
