Tiago Cardoso’s review published on Letterboxd:
A human condition story with a "supernatural" element that puts into play something we can all relate to (love).
Thelma explores two sides, a naturalist side of a human being and relationships (father-daughter relationship and a love story with another girl), which is a conflict with Thelma’s religious upbringing. (Thelma is from a very conservative Christian background). And a expressionistic side, larger than life setting of these supernatural powers, and all these animals, and all these concept scenes (exploring psychogenic epilepsy as an allegory).
