The Lighthouse is one of 2019's greatest films and another hit from director Robert Eggers. Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe gives the best performances of their entire careers. Honestly, if they don't win an Oscar or an Academy Award, they at least need to nominated. Also, Robert Pattinson proves to his haters that he deserves to be Batman. The film has absolutely beautiful cinematography. The black and white is a perfect choice for it. Every technical aspects of the film is truly brilliant. The story of Ephraim Winslow coming to terms with his fetish of a mermaid is really some compelling shit. Plus, there is humor in the movie that is funny (not unintentionally). The Lighthouse is another excellent film from A24. It is so much better than The Witch (which I liked) especially with the ending which has a better payoff. I am recommending this movie. It is so worth watching.
