Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Honestly it feels refreshing to watch this again after watching Eternals, Marvel's take on the Wuxia genre is like the perfect blend of tribute, modernization and Americanization of it and honestly that's not a bad thing.

It's amazing to see the genre so deep in rich cultural history and heritage being adapted and textually used so faithfully while giving us the fun thrill rides MCU are known for.

From a technical and performance standpoint, this is the best of what "superhero" films can offer. Hell, it's the best of what films can offer on this half of 2019. But no matter how 'controversial' or 'bravely stand against the PC-culture' both Todd Phillips and Joaquim Phoenix marketed this film, Joker is a film that's confused about its titular character.

In a vacuum, if we ignored the legacy and what the "Joker" as a character…
