I’m just going to be blunt : This movie fucking sucks
Another fucking cashgrab.
This is what modern IP filmmaking is, if you have the IP and you need the money, you have the try to make a movie right? No matter how bad it turns out.
The books are something and the guy is hot so it’ll make $200 million

Jonathan Glazer hasn’t made a film in 10 years. What anticipation - and he has delivered a masterpiece.

On the Waterfront 1954
Marlon Brando is on another level here, every scene he steals and the choices he makes with the character is still so entertaining to watch and ponder over 70 years later.

What else can I say but Masterpiece?
Difficult to watch, but a Masterpiece.
War brings out the worst in humanity and Kubrick can bring that directly to the screen in the clearest way possible: through powerful dialogue/ performances and impressive, effective camerawork where every frame is saying something crucial.
This film made me feel uncomfortable, similar to Full Metal Jacket or A Clockwork Orange.
The last scene was perfection!

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 2019
I hate giving 1/2 star reviews.
I only give half a star when I'm watching a collection of images and sounds put together as a "movie" such as "Nail Gun Massacre" (1985) or "August Underground" (2001).
This thing, (I'm not comfortable calling it a movie) is a checklist of ideas that studios and producers had to conform to make money.
It's a global business, not creative art or cinema.
