First things first... Constance Wu & J-Lo completely own this movie. The story is averagish and told effectively. The main reason this story works is because of the character dynamic of Wu and Lopez. They were told well and this was definitely character driven. Other than that, it gets pretty repetitive and stale at parts. Overall I’d say it’s above average and generates some good laughs.

Definitely needed to give this a rewatch before it leaves theaters. I’m glad that I did. I think the movie was better on the 2nd viewing.  1st viewing I found Cliff most interesting, but the 2nd viewing I really admired Rick so much more than I did the first time around. Haha! This was great. I enjoyed the story and I think it was written pretty well. I had a few issues that kept it from being perfect, but man I loved this movie. I love when movies make side characters make tough choices that impact the story instead of just writing some characters “just to be there”. This was fun and enjoyable and I would watch this again and again. I’d say this is kind of a “GET OUT” mixed with “GAME NIGHT”. Great movie.

Chapter 1 was better. Just like the original, the kid’s story is way better. This Chapter 2 is better than the original chapter 2. I’m not going to just re-hash every review I’ve seen so far (Bill Hader was amazing, Movie was too long, etc). Yea it’s true! I will say Finn Wolfhard’s CGI was funny lol. & the kids having obvious weird high pitch modified ADR was weird... but I get it. The kids grew up a lot between movies…
