    Spider-Man: No Way Home

Despite the astoundingly high review for this movie, I went in with low expectations. I didn’t like the trailer, I didn’t like where I thought the movie was going. I didn’t really care about the rumours of the other iterations of spider man characters being involved/villains as I never really watched them, but holy FUCK was this an amazing movie. I was absolutely proven wrong.

Yes, it did start pretty slowly, and I didn’t particularly like where it was headed,…

  • Ex Machina

    Ex Machina

I loved this film. The ending left me open mouthed, heart pounding and confused in the best possible way. The film was beautifully and brilliantly portrayed all the way through, and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
It’s such an insightful look into the dangers and seductions of the advancement of post-modern technology, which may be why the film felt so disturbingly real.
Either way, it was a wonder to experience.

  • Squid Game

    Squid Game

I’ve just finished this and oh my god was it worth all the hype. I was a little skeptical of this during the first two episodes, but I’m so glad I stuck with it.
I don’t want to say much for fear of it giving the plot away, but I was enthralled by ever aspect of this masterful tv show and cannot wait for the second season.

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

This film was astounding! Likeable characters - awakafina was hilarious as always - and great dynamics between them all. The cinematography was incredible, complimented perfectly by the musical score.
The only issue I would have is that it slows down slightly in the middle, however the pace of the film picks up quickly and resumes its edge-of-your-seat action feel. All in all, this was a perfect example of a brilliant marvel film.
