AFI produced several lists of films from 1998 through the late 2000s. In 2008 they came out with a list of 100 films divided into ten genres, with their ten top films for each genre listed in order.
The list below are those 100 films. The order of the genres are:
Animated (1 - 10)
Courtroom Drama (11 - 20)
Epic (21 - 30)
Fantasy (31 - 40)
Gangster (41 - 50)
Mystery (51 - 60)
Romantic Comedy (61 - 70)
Sports (71 - 80)
Science Fiction (81 - 90)
Western (91 - 100)
