Todd Russell’s review published on Letterboxd:
Adapted from the novel by Ian Fleming, yes, the mastermind behind James Bond with a musical magical part reality, part fantasy tour with a very special car. Even better, the screenplay is by the masterful Roald Dahl of Willy Wonka fame. A timeless tale of good vs. evil that I first watched as a child, then later as a parent and now as a grandparent. A fun ride in an amazing car for the whole family. My only (very) minor complaint is I wish there weren't so many, many musical interludes, even though most of the songs are catchy and well done. My favorite tune is the one that sounds like the engine of the car ... chitty, chitty bang bang!
