Todd Russell’s review published on Letterboxd:
On May 18, 1980 I lived in Vancouver, Washington and witnessed Mt. St. Helens erupting. It was raining volcanic ash so thick it was like a dirty snowfall. This movie starring James Bond's Pierce Brosnan and Terminator's Linda Hamilton seems inspired by this eruption. It is a fictional story, but there are characters that also seem inspired by real life Mt. St. Helens victims like Harry Truman.
The devastation mother earth is capable of is scary and the special effects in this movie are fantastic. There is a bit of plot credibility issues, but nothing too major. If you like disaster flicks, this is definitely recommended.
