Awkward dramedy about a family of four on a ski vacation when caught in an avalanche the father (Will Ferrell) commits a cowardly act while the mother (Julia Louise-Dreyfuss) protects their two sons.

The rest of the vacation involves scene after scene of stilted, forced dialogue and unease between the husband and wife. It's a movie about a cold, bad family vacation where the viewers want it to be over more than the family in the movie.

Neither Ferrell or Dreyfuss characters are likable enough to care about throughout the majority of the film. It's not completely terrible, but it's close. Not recommended.
