Todd Russell’s review published on Letterboxd:
Haven't watched many original movies on Amazon or Netflix, but this one starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler never really finds its footing. A vacationing couple works together to solve a murder mystery. On the merits of a whodunit it's merely OK. As a comedy? A few funny spots here and there. Good romantic chemistry between real life friends Sandler and Aniston, but the movie isn't anything that special.
Talent was there, but the script could have been better. I wanted to like this more than I did. Just Go With it starring the same duo has a few more laughs. I know reviews of Sandler's work is mixed to the negative, but I prefer his zanier, off the hook work more than his rom-coms (although some of his work with Drew Barrymore is great) and, well, this. Not recommended.
