Sorry, nothing good to say about this movie.
Video Review - Just left the theater (no spoilers)
Starts out live acting, then a lighthouse beams two kids into the Playmobil world that is just one neverending commercial for toys sandwiching in just about every type of toy you can think of: pirates, flying horses, dragons, vikings, dinosaurs, a James Bond ripoff spy complete with his own annoying sound effect.
I haven't seen the LEGO movie, but many reviewers are saying this is a total ripoff of that. I'm OK with movies based off a toy line, but come on, give us an actual competent, entertaining story.
It's like they were making stew with the leftovers of better movies. The songs are worse than the story. The worst movie we've seen in the theater this year. Don't waste your time. We want ours back.
