Todd Russell’s review published on Letterboxd:
Star Trek is guilty of having a few too many time travel tales, but I must admit that I'm a sucker for future or the past visiting present day gimmicks. Especially when the present day is the 80s.
There is also a good dose of humor in this series that lightens up the sci-fi. The actual plot involving whales is a bit boring, but if you forgive that and the cliches, this is enjoyable. It's no "City on the Edge of Forever" but it's entertaining. It's a masterpiece compared to some of the Star Trek movies (that's not a huge compliment). Wrath of Khan is the one Trek Original Series cast movie you must see.
