Todd Russell’s review published on Letterboxd:
When I originally saw this jerky cam faux amateur "real" film of a group of people getting freaked out in the woods I thought it was cooler than rewatching it 20 years later. It spawned other bogus real movies and the jerky visuals just give me a headache watching now. It isn't real, the fact that it seemed like it might be real was kinda cool in 1999, but in 2019, it just seems lame to me. I was unsettled the first time around, but totally bored this time. Not recommended except for the creativity it showed in 1999. That earns it 2 stars alone.
