Todd Russell’s review published on Letterboxd:
David Cronenberg (The Fly) + Debra Hill (Halloween + other cool movies with John Carpenter) + Stephen King?!?! How can this be bad? It's one of the best Stephen King horror adaptions and tells the haunting story of Johnny Smith, a man who gets into a car accident and wakes up from a long coma with the power to see the future.
It is also a very tragic love story that still makes me choke up in parts. I cannot imagine anybody better than Christopher Walken playing Johnny and Martin Sheen playing Greg Stillson. This movie has aged well too, so even if you don't like Stephen King, this is highly recommended. The story source material was so good that it was made into a cool TV series on USA that lasted several seasons also. If you haven't seen this, add it to your watchlist ASAP.
