Todd Russell’s review published on Letterboxd:
Rene Russo and Kevin Costner shine in a surprisingly compelling romance over pro golf. Russo is a psychologist and Costner plays Tin Cup, a golf pro instructor Roy Macroy who decides to take a shot at the U.S Open to win the girlfriend (Russo) of one of the top pros on the tour.
The chemistry between Costner and Russo is sizzling and the dramatic golf shots provide enough "ooooos" and "ahhhs" to keep viewers engaged and entertained. The story is somewhat unbelievable and yet it has enough charm and spirit to make it a three star recommended par.
