He wakes up at 11:00 or 12:00, eats cereal or toast, reads the newspaper, looks out the front door, takes a walk, goes to a movie matinee, listens to the radio, watches sit-com re-runs 'til 1, and usually falls asleep about 2.     My Dad gave me a collection of DVDs of his all time favourite films, and he also wrote a little bit on each DVD. This is what he wrote about Frederico Fellini's '8 1/2'.

    The most 'personal' film I've seen - where the role of the director as an artist was central. A disjointed free-flow of ideas which, as Scorsese said, follows the process of creativity - focusing on film-making within a corporation. The struggle towards creation is right.
