“Because I choose to”
Very much in the vain of films like Retune of the Jedi and Return of the King. All the set up has been done so it’s 2 hours of pay off. A beautiful and sincere work. About finding freedom through the sheer power of the human spirt. Taking the idea of what Reloaded was about. The idea that we can choose to make out own future. Many complain about the chose to focus on characters we don’t know all that well in the battle of Zion. I think it works very well to paint a very well realized picture of this battle. Feels almost akin to what Nolan did with Dunkirk. Also the fight itself just rule. It seems to me The Wachowskis used that same fluidity of motion that was in the fights in the previous film to the machine battles. Making for a very unique visual experience. While most certainly the weakest of the trilogy it still rips. Absolutely can not wait for Resurrections tomorrow.
