Todd Gaines’s review published on Letterboxd:
The hype train for the Fear Street trilogy hits the brakes some with 1978.
I expected 78 to go bigger with the kill count, gore and all the other “fun” stuff. Instead, 78 takes its sweet time to get going, and the supporting cast is not as strong as 94. Sadie Sink is the MVP hands down in 78, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss the main cast of 94.
I am still excited for 1666 and to see how the trilogy concludes. However, my overall expectations have been lowered quite a bit.
