0/10 Tom Cruise didn’t jump off a building or anything. No but honestly this is one of Tom Cruise’s best performances.
If you ask most people what their favourite Kubrick film is they would most likely reply with either 2001 or The Shining however for me it’s between: A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket and now Eyes Wide Shut.
Eyes Wide Shut is a film that leaves you thinking whilst also being a fast paced ‘thriller’ that keeps you on your toes. I don’t understand why this is considered one of the legendary directors lesser films.
As I’ve come to expect from Kubrick, every frame is immaculate and the music is implemented perfectly. The editing was perfectly; not a simgle frame could be removed. This film reminded how perfect Kubrick’s films are from a technical standpoint.
This has made me want to go back and rewatch some of Kubrick’s films that I didn’t appreciate as much as I would now.
