    Hacksaw Ridge

It has some incredibles action sequences, but ultimate I found Hacksaw Ridge too cheesy, especially all the scenes between the main character and his future wife at the beginning.

I didn't found nothing special on the Andrew Garfield's performance, I think he did it so much better in 99 Homes and nobody make a big deal about it. Hugo Weaving was amazing as always, and Vince Vaughn was a pleasant surprise.

I don't think this is a bad movie, but ultimate is rather disappointing.

  • Arrival

Denis Villeneuve's Arrival is like Ridley Scott and Andrei Tarkovsky were team-up to direct Contact.

This isn't just a movie with cool special effects, perfect cinematography and well done performaces. Arrival is also a philosophical, intelligent crafted and layered sci-fi; one, by the way, that doesn't depend on his style to be engaging (Yes, I'm looking at you, Christopher Nolan's Interstellar).

    The Invitation

The movie takes the first 60 minutes to build-up, but don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean they are boring 60 minutes, for those 60 minutes the tension just keeps growing and growing, and then, for the last half hour you'll experience a very disturbing final part.
