First of all, how is this only a 12?

In Spencer, Pablo Lorrain has crafted one of this year's very best films. His direction here is so frank, it is such an intimate portrayal of Lady Diana and the camera is used to give extreme close ups which often feel too close, too intrusive. As if we are invading her personal space which, of course, is exactly as Diana is feeling in the film. There's one shot in particular, outside…

James Acaster is the best comedian alive. I thought that for a while, repertoire made me extra sure. Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 confirmed beyond all reasonable doubt that James Acaster is the best comedian on the planet. Within a few seconds of the special starting, I was laughing. Before he even got on stage, I was laughing. Even while he told all the Christians to leave, I was laughing. He has a gift and he uses it better than…

A film of shockingly brutal and visceral violence, full of iconic moments and memorable lines. Enjoyed.

Definitely laughed more than 6 times although something's annoyed me. Why was the lid on the ancient temple tomb far too easy to lift? Were we supposed to care about Sandra bullock's ex husband? That just felt like it was mentioned once, and then again at the end and was meant to feel significant even though it was the second time it had been mentioned.

It was very baggy, a lot that didn't need to be there, the side mission…

Florence Pugh is really good but they kept trying to make her the funny one and give her really badly written marvel jokes and it just didn't work. We didn't get any of the Natasha development that we had missed from literally all of the film's she's been in. A little bit uneventful story wise. A little boring.

It's a bit overcrowded, but I really enjoyed it. It would have made a good mini series but it still made a pretty good film. Some excellent performances from Skarsgard and Holland and Pattinson. A couple of very compelling and interesting story lines that came together in a very interesting way.
