Dolemite Is My Name ★★★★

A feel-great film pretty much from beginning to end, Craig Brewer's heartfelt tribute to the one-and-only Rudy Ray Moore is a blast from the past that both celebrates black culture and examines the finer details of filmmaking through the prism of a making of a bonafide classic blaxploitation film. Led by a classic Eddie Murphy performance and further bolstered by a terrific ensemble, this just might be the best thing Netflix has on offer at this moment. A true joy to behold, with only a minor gripe or two about pacing, particularly around the midsection.
