Tom Little’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's official. Robert Eggers' followup to his memorable, statement-making début horror The Witch from 2015, is the movie to beat this year for me. Granted, I haven't been able to see all these other must-see movies that the cool kids have seen (Jojo Rabbit; Parasite; Honey Boy; Waves) but The Lighthouse is one of those perception-skewing horrors that is going to be responsible for many a night's odd dreams. This is a fucking awesome, brutally weird, insanely performed and inexplicable adventure that is, in my mind, the epitome of what cinema is. Getting lost and taken to a place far away that's both on screen and in your head.
