Tom dePerto’s review published on Letterboxd:
One of the most useless sequels I've ever seen. There are no redeeming qualities to this dumpster fire with no sense of actual human emotion, just inconsequential plotting and juvenile values. I don't even think the film even makes a case in defense of Lara Jean by the end, it feels like they're just fine with her being an awful role model for young people watching the film and they don't care.
You could argue that the cinematography and production design are pretty, but the fact that the original looked so much better with a lesser budget devalues any sort of artistic merit that you could try to find here. I wasn't a big fan of the first one, but at least I could feel real passion emanating from the frame. Kicking Susan Johnson out was the worst move they could've made. I've heard the third one is a little bit better, but this was insufferable.
