These movies keep getting better. John Wick 2 improved upon the first John Wick with better action and more of the world building that made the first great. This film does to exact same thing. It knows exactly what we want and delivers. Amazing action? Check. This has the best action in the franchise. More world building? Check? We get a small look at John Wick's past, and it's not much, but it's still pretty cool.
Additionally, the stakes here feel higher than ever. John Wick is still an absolute badass, but you can tell he's more tired and worn out than in the first two films. There are times when it really does feel like he's in danger.
The new additions to the cast are great, with Halle Berry being the standout. She has a surprising lack of screentime, but she's great when she's there.
This film also has more humor than it's predecessors. A lot of it works, but there are a couple instances where the humor doesn't feel necessary and takes away from how cool this film is.
Overall, this is more of the same, but that's not a bad thing. It perfects everything the first two films do, and adds some humor that, for the most part, works. If you liked the first two, you'll feel right at home here.
