Why does it sound like every single line in the movie had to be redubbed in ADR.

    Also: Christian Slater my love

For some reason they removed this from Mubi, turns out it was on Netflix so I wanted to watch this on there.

Apparently the Austrians were so petty about Haneke betraying them and this being in French that they only made the German dubbed version available on Netflix. That distracted me so much, that about 15 minutes in, I checked where I could rent this for cheap.

iTunes had it for 4€, which is fine, but iTunes ALSO recommended me…

I can‘t believe the Paw Patrol really did that

  • Michael Jackson's Thriller

    Michael Jackson's Thriller

Actually, this is a rip-off of a Miracle Johnson music video from the 80s. I was there when they filmed it in Kamurocho, Japan. Some of the most impressive stunt work I've ever seen. Also loved the directing from Steven Spielberg, uh I mean Stephen Spinning.

This is still pretty good though.

  • Boiling Point

    Boiling Point

The exact kind of anxiety inducing masterwork you'd expect from reading the description, which feels like a less impactful and disgusting version of Climax but might be all the better for it.

Entirely engaging movie that does become quite predictable in the course of drama it takes and loses some impact here and there from how ridiculously anxious it's trying to make you feel, but is still surprisingly heartfelt all the same.

I love how intricately so many little stories…

    Princess Mononoke

Perhaps the most beautiful movie I‘ve ever seen - in terms of showcasing a fantastical world at the very least. Enjoyed the world and aesthetic so much that I‘d have appreciated if the tight pacing slowed down a bit here and there. That and the occasional very stilted dialogue are the only complaints I‘d have. Possibly the coolest Ghibli movie out of the ones I‘ve seen.

  • Moon Knight

    Moon Knight

This is honestly almost just as bad as all of the other MCU shows. My positive rating here is because of Oscar Isaac, mostly. Episodes 1, 4 and 5 were quite good, even if all of them had their fair share of stupid.

One of the last action scenes featuering two characters fighting together was some of the coolest choreography in the MCU, just very good shit.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Zombie Dr. Strange winking at the camera right after an extremely corny scene is the exact type of thing I need in my life.

    Thank you Sam.

I don‘t think I‘ve ever been this unsure and unwise in terms of knowing what I thought of a movie - as well as how to communicate my thoughts.

    For Love of the Game

Having watched this, there's only one (two) movies left on my Sam Raimi completionist-agenda. Crimewave (and Dr. Strange).

I hate to say it, but this is one of his better ones. Even though letterboxd seems to has it put as his least endearing one. I really like his direction here, in all its honset campiness. I just don't like.. the length? Or what I like even less, the romance. I expected a boring baseball movie, not caring about baseball and…

    Doctor Strange

my third watch of this only reconfirmed what I already knew. This is one of the best MCU movies. Even then, it's overall pretty messy, but hoo boy do I like this movie more than most of the others.

The cinematography is pretty good, even ignoring this being a marvel fare. I don't even just mean those city-bending special effects, I just mean the overall look, colourgrading, some of the camera movements etc. are much more inspired than what I'm…
