This was built up as the sequel to Rocky IV, one of my favorite Rocky movies ever. While it wasn't as good as the original Creed, this movie was still satisfying nevertheless. The fight sequences were well shot and choreographed. The final round between Viktor Drago and Creed was especially well done. Rocky and Ivan's reunion in Adrian's restaurant felt somewhat anti-climatic and didn't deliver the spark into the next act it could have been.
Assuming there is a third Creed movie, I do hope that the franchise starts to step beyond the shadow of the Apollo Creed's story and focuses on Adonis establishing his own identity.
