Another entry into the bizarre subgenre of YouTube documentaries about strange people.

It was an interesting overview but really just left me feeling like I needed more. I would have really liked to get a deeper look into all things covered here. Not bad for a first attempt of what I hope will be a continued format for Ian to explore.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

It bothers me that Peter had to consciously hand over control of EDITH but he was able to just reclaim it by putting the glasses back on. Surely there'd be a Fail-Safe against that. It seems like a massive design flaw. Once control is handed over, it should need to be handed back.

Besides that, it was really enjoyable. I could watch 2 hours of Spider-Man just swinging around and be happy because the animation gives such an exhilarating feeling even after seeing it so many times in the past 15 years or so.

Also here's some obligatory praise for the incredible Mysterio mind-fuck scene.

I really question who this was made for. It wasn't made for fans of the comics, not for the fans of Del Toro's films, and not for outsiders to the character seemingly either. The saddest part about this box office failure is that the studio will take it to mean that nobody wants to see Hellboy films at all.

I wanted to like this as a fan huge fan Mike Mignola and Neil Marshall but it took every chance to…

I need to thank this film for adding the phrase "Cunt-struck" to my vocabulary.

At this stage there's nothing Lanthimos could direct that I wouldn't watch. All releases from Dogtooth up to here are just a treat to watch. He's on his way to being one of my favourite working directors.

It's also worth pointing out how on-point the writing and acting are in this film. Besides the weird fish-eye lens which I wasn't a big fan of, I have nothing but praise for this.
