Army of the Dead 2021 ★★

Watched May 21, 2021

Super goofy. Super fun. Avoids many of the trappings of a zombie movie but still has many of the trappings of a Zack Snyder movie (i.e. overindulgent runtime, feels like an angsty teenager wrote an action movie, etc). Zack Snyder surprisingly isn't bad as a DP, though there are some decisions of his that I disagree with. Leave your capacity for critical thinking at the door and enjoy.

Best Movie Ever

P.S. I have a suspicion that Dave Bautista is a better actor than he lets on.

P.S.S. Those zombies acted their hearts out.
