Beau is Afraid… more like Beau can’t catch a Break. Not sure what to make of this horror comedy. I couldn’t even recommend or explain this 3 hour misery to someone else. Cool Easter eggs, resonant themes, but too over-the-top to leave a lasting impression on me.

With such cohesive and coherent writing, the weight of the emotion conveyed in this film is only outweighed by the protagonist’s obesity.
